I have purchased a tablet point of sale and I love it

Tablet POS (also referred to as iPad POS) is a combination of a touchscreen, point of sale program, cash drawer and a thermal printer. It’s become increasingly more popular over the past few years with the introduction of new tablets such as iPad Pro, iPad Mini and Samsung’s new range of Galaxy Tab.

I needed to try a different solution


Having been in the café business for almost 12 years, I have used at least over 5 systems and cash registers for my different cafes/ restaurants in Sydney inner-west. In December last year, I was shopping online for new pos and came across SASSCO’s range on Gumtree. I was hesitant at the beginning because I had never heard of SASSCO but was eager to try it because the price sounded very reasonable ($2,995 and includes free freight). After consulting with my partner, we visited their showroom in North Sydney and were amazed, within seconds, on how easy their program is and of course the beautiful views from their office!

Love at first sight


Immediately after trialling SASSCO’s tablet system, we placed the order and received the package 2 days later with our menu already installed and everything was shipped ready for plug and play. The amazing thing was the implementation of the menu. We had sent the company our complete menu in a word document and they had implemented it so successfully with all popups included and modifiers pre-set and allocated to different products. In a few words, we were ready to start selling within minutes of receiving the system.

Why SASSCO


I could give you at least 10 reasons why you should also buy a SASSCO tablet solution; the one thing that comes to mind is the ease-of-use. The program is designed in such colourful way that it’s easy to navigate through and find products. Another good feature is not having to rely on Internet to function and/or print. Everything is connected locally and nothing is dependent on Internet (unlike many other systems in Australia that use a Cloud hosting). Finally, the support has been excellent. We have called their support team on 2 occasions and they have remotely connected to our system and shown us on how to achieve our tasks.

Conclusion


It has been almost 6 months since we purchased a tablet pos system from SASSCO, we absolutely love it and think it’s the best solution for coffee shops in Australia. If you’re in the market for a simple and affordable solution, give SASSCO a call.
